A day workshop weaving spontaneous collective singing, movement, rhythm, and human connection.
The Singing Village reimagines ancient ways of making music in community. Together, we will explore different forms of communal singing — including circlesongs, spontaneous chants and soundscapes — and expand the palette of our voices as musical and expressive vessels.
Vocal improvisation can be a joyful invitation to share resonance and movement, cultivating creativity, presence, responsiveness, and awareness. Each voice brings its unique gifts to the community.
The Singing Village flows between spontaneous song, silence, movement, storytelling, and feelings beyond language. It is an invitation to share our aliveness, to drop deeply into a shared sense of the sacred, and to celebrate the human voice — and our shared humanity.
